On the downstream side, the Petro-Hunt Group’s crude oil refining operations are conducted through ownership in a separate stand alone entity, Placid Refining Company, L.L.C. The Placid refinery is located at Port Allen, Louisiana on the Mississippi River, which is across from Baton Rouge. This facility is a state of the art 57,000 BOPD refinery. Placid operates a natural gas fired steam generator onsite which is utilized to provide electricity and steam to the refinery. The location gives the refinery direct access to three common carrier crude oil pipelines and a port facility for receiving crude oil supplies. Finished product is marketed on the Gulf Coast as well as via Plantation Pipeline to the interior United States. |
