Contact the Land Administration Department when there is any type of interest transfer. In the case of a sale, we will require a copy of the recorded Deed or Instrument of Conveyance that has been recorded within the County or Parish where the property is located. If you are dealing with a death, Petro-Hunt will need a copy of the Death Certificate, Will, and Probate documentation that has been recorded within the County or Parish where the property is located. If the Owner died intestate (without a will), you will need to provide a copy of the Death Certificate and complete an Affidavit of Heirship (download form from the forms section). The Affidavit must be completed by a disinterested third party and must be recorded in the County or Parish where the property is located. Any transfer of interest requires that Petro-Hunt be provided with the new owner’s current address and social security or tax identification number.
